Crock Pot Cuban Picadillo

2 pounds ground beef, browned and crumbled
1 cup diced onion
2 diced red bell peppers
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup minced cilantro
1 small tomato, diced
8 oz can tomato sauce
1/2 cup green olives (I take pimentos out)
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
2 bay leaves

Directions:

Brown meat with onion, bell peppers, and garlic – crumble and drain. Place hamburger meat in the crock pot and top with seasonings, tomato, olives, and sauce. I pour a little of the olive juice over it as a brine (that is optional though)

Cook on low for 6-8 hours. I serve this over rice and fry some plantains to accompany it. The sweetness of the plantains cut the savoriness of the picadillo. Enjoy!
