1.5 cups of stone ground grits
6 cups of water
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups cream
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks of butter (yeah this recipe is not on my most healthy list – but so worth it)
12 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
Add grits, water, and salt to crock pot and cook on low for 7 hours. At hour 7, add in the cream, butter, and cheese and let cook for an additional 15-30 minutes on low. Top with BBQ shrimp and you are sure to ask for seconds.
